Flips Fotography began in 2020 during lockdown in a marina in Fuerteventura. I passed the time wandering around the pontoon with my phone camera looking for photo opportunities. I was hooked. Since then I have developed my skills and knowledge of photography refining my own style and building my portfolio.
I divide my time between the beautiful island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands and the Kent/Sussex regions of the UK. This has given me the opportunity to work within a range of very different and diverse landscapes. I hope to bring new and exciting images from both locations to my website as I develop as an amateur photographer.
Images are now available for purchase and sold mounted and packaged. Please contact me for information on image size and prices.
You are welcome to join me on my photography journey through this website and hope you enjoy viewing my images as they grow and develop.

FUERTEVENTURA
Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands located 100km off the coast of North Africa in the Atlantic ocean. It is the second biggest of the islands and has the longest white sandy beaches in the archipelago. The island has become a destination for sun, beach and watersports enthusiasts. Fuerteventura is the oldest island in the Canary Islands dating back 20 million years to a volcanic eruption in the Canary hotspot (a volcanically active region centred on the Canary Islands). The majority of the island was created about 5 million years ago and since then has been eroded by wind and precipitation.
This arid yet uniquely beautiful island provides a host of opportunity for creative photography. From the turquoise blue seas and white sandy beaches to the almost moon like landscapes and draught loving vegetation. This windy, barren, and remote island has become the home I have yet to explore. Here are some of my inaugural images which I hope to build upon as I develop my portfolio.
KENT AND SUSSEX
West Kent in the UK has been my home for most of my life. Bordering East Sussex this area is known as the Garden of England. Although within easy reach in London this region is blessed with areas of outstanding natural beauty. The undulating geography of this region is based on a series of ridges and valleys running east to west across the counties. These were formed as a result of erosion of the Wealden dome created by alpine movements millions of years ago. The resultant landscapes are characterised by regions of sandstone and chalk ridges and cliffs.
This diverse region of the UK lends itself to dramatic coastal images alongside rolling hills and the quintessentially English villages and countryside. Lockdown number 2 was spent in the UK and was a great starting point for exploring different locations and practising my new found love of photography.
